Am I eligible for Canadian citizenship?

To become a Canadian citizen, most applicants must:

Be a permanent resident

Meet Canada's physical presence requirements (lived in Canada 3 out of the 5 last years - 1095 days)

Have filed your taxes (if necessary)

Pass a Canadian citizenship test (if you are between the ages of 18-54)

Prove your language skills (if you are between the ages of 18-54)

After submitting your citizenship application, Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will check to verify that the applicnat is not prohibited from applying, has met residency requirements, and not have a criminal history considered prohibitive to becoming a citizen.
